1946 Dodge Power Wagon
Restored by: Terry Kenney
Restoration Duration = 6 years

Trucks story: Bought in 2001 off of bulletin board in building 197 for $1000. This was one of the first Dodge 4x4 produced for civilian use, the truck is made just like the military trucks but for the boys returning home from the war. Terry’s truck is pretty much stock with the exception of the dual carbs and Fenton headers and updated rear gears from 5.83 to 4.89. This gives the driver a nice ~60 MPH on a downhill with the good breeze to your back.

Interesting fact: Dodge Power Wagon is the longest same production body style in the USA. Dodge built them from 1945 to 1971 for sale in the USA and exported them from 1971-78, at which time production was stopped. This means you could take a fender off the front of a 1946 and bolt it on the front of a 1978 Power Wagon without a problem.
