As noted above, Frank N. Kelly Award is presented to
people who support the EBAC with effort and dedication beyond the normal or
even the extra. Liz’s resume of EBAC work is truly extensive. She has been
an active EBAC member for over 40 years. She has served on countless
committees, the most recent being the Hall of Fame Committee, Athlete of the
Year Committee, Banquet Committee and the Communication Committee. She has
been the commissioner of the Bowling League and chairperson of the annual
EBAC Bowling Tournament for over 30 years. Liz has also been an active
member of the EBAC Executive Board for over 30 years. She served in all
five-officer positions, becoming the 24th EBAC President. One would think
that after serving as president in 1997 and 1998, she would relax and assume
a les active role. Not Liz, she filled the secretary and vice-president
positions again after her term as president. She was awarded the President’s
award in 1995 and 2001 for work in support of the President on a particular
program or event.
On the sports performance side, she was awarded the 1971 Dot Bliven Award,
and was inducted into the EBAC Hall of Fame in 1993 based on her performance
in bowling, volleyball and fast pitch softball. On the work in support of
the Club side, she was awarded the Frank N. Kelly Award in 1993.
Others have been presented the Kelly Award a second time, but none have
contributed more effort or provided more support to the EBAC and its
programs, goals and commitments.
