2007 WALTER J. HARVEY MEMORIAL AWARD
Awarded annually to the outstanding EBAC Interdepartmental athlete in memory of Walter J. Harvey, the Works Manager, who was a loyal supporter of the EBAC.
Jon Carr
Jon is an integral member of the Floor Hockey league for many years. He has served as a player, coach, co-commissioner, scorekeeper and referee. He is a gifted player with surprising speed for a big man. In his Floor Hockey career, Jon has had over 155 goals and 93 assists. Jon was the 2007 EBAC Floor Hockey A league regular season MVP and led his team to the playoff championship in 2007. His accomplishments and unselfishness has earned the respect of the league.
Jon also is a player for his EBAC Interdepartmental Softball A division team “GMI”. During the playoffs he injured his shoulder and was unable to play but continued to show up and support the team. No matter what the team needed Jon was always there to do whatever and never complained about it. His batting average is .531, with 28 RBI’s, 34 Hits, 21 runs, 12 doubles, 3 triples and 2 home runs. Jon also enjoys playing in the Billards league.
Outside of EB, Jon plays Ice Hockey, has been on the EBAC Executive Board since September 2004 and is the father of three children. He enjoys campfires and hosting cookouts with his family and friends.
